Tarantella dancersat your wedding
The tarantella sorrentina, the traditional folk dance of Sorrento, was born as a courtship dance, so a wedding is exactly where it belongs. We arrive in costume with tamburelli and nacchere, dance for you and then pull your guests onto the floor too, from grandparents to children.
As Italian folk dancers for weddings, we perform at villas and hotels in Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast, in Capri and all over Campania.
When to dance
The show fits around the rhythm of your day. We can perform at a single moment or split it into two.

As guests arrive
While your guests arrive at the villa and enjoy the aperitivo: music, colour and tamburelli break the ice, especially when guests come from different countries.

For the couple's entrance
A guard of honour of dancers, the sound of the nacchere, and the newlyweds walk into the reception welcomed by Sorrento's tradition.

At the cake cutting
Our most requested moment: the tarantella closes the dinner and opens the party, and at the end the bride and groom dance with us.

As a surprise
Plan it in secret with us or with your wedding planner: your guests won't see it coming, and they won't forget it.
How it works
Length
Usually 20 to 40 minutes, which can also be split into two moments.
Dancers
2 to 5 couples in costume, depending on the space and the number of guests.
Guests join in
At the end we hand out tamburelli and nacchere and teach the basic steps: the couple and their guests dance with us.
Music
Traditional recorded music or live musicians with guitar, mandolin and tammorra.
Space
A few metres of free floor is all we need, even between the tables or on a terrace. Before the event we check the venue with you or your wedding planner.
Costumes
Hand-sewn traditional costumes: velvet bodices, skirts with golden flounces, colourful sashes and red caps.

Where we perform
Villas and hotels in Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Piano di Sorrento, Meta, Vico Equense and Massa Lubrense; on the Amalfi Coast in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello; in Capri and Naples. On request we travel to the rest of Campania, across Italy and abroad.

Questions from couples
How much does a tarantella show at a wedding cost?
The price depends on the number of dancers, the length, the location and whether the music is live or recorded. Send us your date and venue and we'll reply with a detailed, no-obligation quote.
Does it work if our guests aren't Italian?
Yes, even more so: for guests from abroad, the tarantella is one of the best memories of a wedding on the Amalfi Coast. We also introduce the show in English.
Do you coordinate with our wedding planner and the venue?
Of course. We agree timings, space and music with your wedding planner, the maître d' or the hotel management.
How far in advance should we book?
For Saturdays from May to October, it's best to write to us as soon as you have your date: the most popular dates fill up quickly.
Yourwedding
Tell us the date, the location and the number of guests: we'll reply with a tailor-made proposal, usually within 24 hours.
